Elis Nezha, Principal Dancer with Boston Ballet, Dawid Kupinski, Principal Dancer Royal Swedish Ballet and Mathias Dingman, Principal Dancer Birmingham Royal Ballet lead our 2017 lineup, with William Bracewell, Soloist Birmingham Royal Ballet. From Tokyo we welcome back Kazuhisa Hiyama, Yasuyo Omoto and Keita Yasumura and from Fukuoka's "Latin Touch", Humberto Trevino.
The festival was held over 3 nights in late July.
Eris Nezha graduated from Teatro alla Scala Ballet School in 2002 and immediately joined La Scala Ballet Company, where he was promoted to Principal Dancer. With La Scala, Nezha interpreted leading roles in nearly all of the Company's productions and has danced with famous guest artists including Svetlana Zakharova, Natalia Osipova, Polina Semionova, Evgenia Obraztsova, Alina Somova and Eleonora Abbagnato. He also took part in tours representing La Scala in Brazil, Russia, Oman, Poland, Israel and Japan. In 2011, Nezha was awarded with the Premio Danza & Danza as the Best Interpreter of the Year.
In 2013 Eris Nezha was invited by Mikko Nissinen to join the Boston Ballet as a Principal Dancer.
He performed the leading roles as a star guest in Opera di Roma's Cinderella and La Gitana (2006), Arena di Verona's Cinderella (2006), A Midsummer Night's Dream (2008), Zagreb HNK's TheSleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Cinderella (2007), Berlin Staatsballett's Swan Lake (2007), Teatro San Carlo's TheNutcracker (2008) and Tirana Opera House's Giselle (2014).

Dawid Kupiński was born in Poland. He is a principal dancer in Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm. He started his education in Gdańsk and at the age of 17 joined Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen. In addition to work on a number of August Bournonville ballets such as ’Napoli’, ‘La Sylphide’ and ‘Flower festival in Genzano’ he has also worked with J.Neumeier, J.Godani, P. Martins and A. Preljocaj among others. After 5 years he moved to Bejart Ballet Lausanne were he danced lead roles in ‘Firebird’ , ‘The rite of spring’ , ‘Ballet for life’ , ‘Chant du Compagnone errant’ , ‘Serait-ce le mort?’ and many more.
Currently he is enjoying dancing classical ballets such as ‘Giselle’ , ’Sleeping Beauty’ , ’Swan Lake’ and ‘Raymonda’ but also works with Mats EK and William Forsythe.
Mathias Dingman was born in South Carolina, USA and trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington DC. He won the gold medal at the Varna International Ballet Competition in 2006 and joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in the same year. He became First Artist in 2010 and Soloist, then First Soloist, in consecutive years. He is now Principal. His repertory includes the roles of the Prince in The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Cinderella and along with the title roles in Aladdin and The Prince of the Pagodas, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Puck in The Dream and Alain in La Fille mal gardée, amongst many others.

Born in Swansea, William Bracewell trained at the Pamela Miller Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School. In 2007 he won the Young British Dancer of the Year Award and he was awarded the Grand Prix at the 2010 Youth America Grand Prix. He joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2010; First Artist, 2012; Soloist, 2014. He was Young British Dancer of the Year, 2007 Grand Prix, Youth American Grand Prix, 2010, Critics' Circle National Dance Awards: Outstanding male performance (classical), 2015.
